Commonly known as the Northern Cross, this prominent constellation is positioned nearly overhead in the Maldives during the late evening and features the bright star Deneb.
Mercury
Not visible tonight as it is positioned too close to the Sun's glare.
Venus
Look to the western sky shortly after sunset where it shines as a brilliant evening star.
Mars
Visible as a reddish point of light in the eastern sky during the early morning hours before dawn.
Jupiter
Rises in the east in the hours before sunrise and is visible low on the horizon as dawn approaches.
Saturn
Visible for most of the night, appearing as a bright golden object rising in the east during the evening near the waning gibbous moon.

Perseids Meteor Shower
The Perseids reach their peak with excellent viewing conditions due to the new moon, producing up to 100 meteors per hour.
Orionids Meteor Shower
The Orionids meteor shower reaches its peak, offering a steady display of meteors originating from the constellation Orion.
Saturn at Opposition
Saturn reaches opposition, making it visible all night long and appearing at its brightest for the year.
Southern Taurids Meteor Shower
The Southern Taurids reach their peak, known for producing occasional bright fireballs in the night sky.
Uranus at Opposition
Uranus reaches opposition, though it remains a very faint object that typically requires optical aid to be seen clearly.
Supermoon
A full moon occurring near perigee, making it appear slightly larger and brighter than an average full moon.
What Lies Beyond the Eye
A few of the galaxies, nebulae and deep-sky objects we observe through the telescope. Long-exposure imaging shows more than the eye sees on the night.

Not at all. Every evening is led by a guide who'll meet you where you are — whether you've never looked through a telescope or you already know your way around the sky.
The Maldives has plenty of clear nights, but the sky doesn't always cooperate. If it's cloudy we'll reschedule at no cost, or run an indoor astronomy session if you'd prefer.
Yes. We bring the telescope and everything needed to your yacht anywhere in the Maldives, and handle the setup ourselves.
